COMMUNITIES, PLACES AND CITIES FOR THE BETTER

There is no quick-fix solution for creating communities that are grounded on social relationships, meaningful places and caring neighbourhoods. It takes purposeful approach to infrastructural delivery, continued by active engagement with community building and an unwavering enterprise commitment. MADE is committed to a long-term holistic approach to developing a better inheritance centred on passing down values, relationships and stories, rather than just buildings and structures.

  • A Shared Vision
All of MADE’s communities share a common set of values that are adopted by our local residents, the residents’ associations and across our community partnerships. We aspire to journey on the same wavelength to build a better way of doing life together.

  • Waste & Sustainability
We recognise that the goodness of nature inspires and restore our souls - we need it and are here as caretakers to nurture it for the next generation. Our communities partner closely with local and national partners to deliver a number of sustainability initiatives including annual coastal clean-ups, composting, zero-waste parenting awareness, community gardens and an environment-focused school curriculum for our tamariki.

  • Employment
The joy of generosity comes alive when a community finds fulfilment in giving employment or being employed. MADE is dedicated to empowering employment initiatives through its creation of localised employment hubs in its town centre planning, alongside an unique partnership with the NZ Government.

  • Transport & Mobility
We believe the ability to have easy, efficient and sustainable journeys to connect with people is crucial to building a city of true belonging. Our mobility vision for our master-planned communities is a fully integrated, seamless transport strategy that connects micro-mobility with public transport - implemented in the earliest stages of development rather than retrofitting years later. Together with national and international mobility leaders, Auckland Transport & Waka Kotahi (NZTA), Auranga is leading the way to implement an integrated, low-carbon, multi-option transport network - the first of its kind in New Zealand. The strategy is crafted so that it can be duplicated in future MADE communities across the country.

We know the places we live in deeply affects of our lives. When those places make us feel safer, content and more fulfilled, we create memories of belonging that set us and our families up.

MADE’s focus is the realisation of belonging and purpose for the communities we make - places for the better, neighbourhoods for the better, and cities for the better.
